The strategy consists in an intervention over an existing building composed by three different volumes corresponding to different moments in time. The lack of uniformity and formal identity becomes evident, and that’s why this new intervention wants to recover a recognizable facade of the city with a singular architecture piece. The building tries to use different degrees of transparency thanks to a metallic and glass superstructure that wraps around the existing structure, adding as well a new upper floor for exhibitions. The intervention achieves the restoration of the surrounding gardens as a public space for the campus students.

The original facade of the previous building gets enveloped by a digital facade that serves as a lure for the culture within the city and responds to the needs of a Center for Digital Arts and Experimental Media.

The overlapping structure introduces light into the whole building, placing as well a new staircase that could be used as a new meeting point for the center.
